Gone are the days of whisper-thin eyebrows. Thick, full brows are now the highly sought after beauty achievement for women. Fortunately, you can achieve envy-worthy eyebrows in a few simple steps.
1. Invest in a good pair of tweezers.
Using dull tweezers will make it harder for you to grab the small hairs of your eyebrows. In addition to making it more difficult to shape your brows, the dull tweezers can also cause ingrown hairs if the hair breaks off before you can completely pluck it.
2. Locate your start and end points.
Flip your tweezer upside down and line in up on the inside of your nose. The open end should be lined up with the inner corner of your eye. Mark a vertical line with an eyebrow pencil over your eyebrow. Repeat on the other side. Remove all the hairs in between the two lines.
Now, lay your tweezer along your cheek. The open end should touch your nose, the middle should touch your outer eye corner and the top should reach your brows. Mark where the tweezers cross your brows. Repeat on the other side. Remove the hairs that fall outside the mark.
3. Determine how thick you want your brows.
Beauty experts recommend keeping your brows between ¼ inch and ½ inch, but how thick or thin you want your brows is up to you. With an eye pencil, draw a line from the thickest part of your brow to the end. You should try to follow the natural shape of your brows as much as possible. Repeat on the other brow. Remove all hairs that fall below the lines.
4. Define your arch
Looking straight into the mirror, mark you arch high point with a pencil. Your arch high point will fall just on the outside edge of your eye’s iris. Remove all the hairs that fall below the line.
5. Groom hairs into place.
Using an eyebrow brush, groom your hairs into place. To keep your brows in place, use brow pomade.
Now you’re ready to show off your perfect brows. For semi-permanent brows, consider getting your brows tinted or getting them microbladed. Tinting will temporarily darken your eyebrows and is relatively affordable. Microblading is a process when an aesthetician tattoos your eyebrows to make them appear fuller and darker. The process lasts for months, but it is more expensive than tinting.
